About Whale Watchers

Whale Watchers Lovely Self-Catering Accommodation was established in 2003 to provide holiday letting services to people travelling to the South Peninsula, and in particular Muizenberg, Kalk Bay, Fish Hoek and Simon’s Town.

More than 15 years on, and Whale Watchers is still operating within the same region providing personalised and dedicated service to customers from all over the world.

We have built a significant portfolio of both customers and properties. With the dawn of the digital age, Whale Watchers is now set to maximise its reach and present to the market the best that Cape Town has to offer – The Sunrise Coast on the South Peninsula.

Bay View Villa

Bay Views Villa is situated on the slopes of Fish Hoek mountain and offers fantastic north facing views of False Bay and the valley. Enjoying sunrise and sunset and nicely sheltered from the south easter. With 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms Bay Views Villa can accommodate up to 8 people and offers large indoor and outdoor entertainment areas including sundecks and pool. ‘Bay Views Villa’ is a secured home to explore the Cape Peninsula and to relax in stylish comfort.


Ocean’s Echo

Oceans Echo is located in Fish Hoek, between historical Simon’s Town and bustling Kalk Bay on the South Peninsula of Cape Town. This coastal area is a blend of spectacular scenery that lends itself to fun activities and exploring nature. It also boasts some of the best swimming beaches and tidal pools in Cape Town.

Set against the mountain, Oceans Echo has panoramic sea views and is a private, tranquil sanctuary. Our luxury self-catering villa is comprised of 5 bedrooms with 5 en suite bathrooms, a spacious lounge and dining area and an inviting swimming pool. We can accommodate up to 10 people and it is perfect for holiday-makers, local and foreign visitors, honeymooners, business travellers, adventure seekers, golfing enthusiasts and weekend guests.


Surfers Studio

Whale Watchers brings you this stunning and cozy single bedroom apartment right next to Muizenberg Beach. Fully equipped open-plan kitchen with spacious lounge walks onto a sunlit patio. Located in the famous Empire Building on Muizenberg Beach. Within walking distance of all restaurants, surf stores and local shops. This is a perfect apartment for a couple or singles who are looking to escape to the beach for a few days.

Muizenberg is Africa’s oldest surfing town. Home to one of the worlds’ best learn-to-surf beaches and the warmest waters on the Cape Town coastline, Muizenberg is a must visit holiday destination while in Cape Town. There are many tourist attractions in the area with walking tours on offer from Muizenberg Tours and Travel. For breakfast, there is an abundance of choice. Hang Ten cafe is a local surfers hangout and institutional cafes like Empire Cafe and Gaslight have been local favourites for manyyears. This area is home to incredible restaurants, and a vibrant nightlife with Tigers Milk and Live-bait only short walk from the apartment. Live music is regularly hosted at the Striped Horse, with it’s in-house striped horse craft beers proving very popular. Take a walk through the old part of town (Palmer Road) an interesting collection shops and coffee shops where locals show off their crafts and trade. The Blue Bird Garage Market is also a hot favourite for a Friday night. This is where all the locals congregate after a long week of work and surf. Visitors can enjoy a coastal walk from Muizenberg to Kalk Bay that includes the historical mile. This part of the walk features some wonderful historical buildings including the SA Police Museum, Casa Labia, Rhodes Cottage and Het Posthuys which dates back to 1742 and is one of the oldest buildings in South Africa.


Beach Loft

Whale Watchers Properties brings you this lovely one bedroom fully equipped self-catering apartment. It is situated on the 2nd floor of the iconic Empire Building on the Muizenberg Beachfront. Within close walking distance to the beach and in the center of town, this is an ideal apartment for a getaway to the beach.

The apartment can accommodate up to two adults. There is one bedroom furnished with a double bed and a bathroom with a shower over bath, a toilet and a washbasin. Bed linen and towels are provided. The living area is open plan and well decorated. The lounge is comfortably furnished with an L-shaped couch and meals can be enjoyed at the breakfast bar. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering and contains a stove, oven, fridge-freezer, microwave, cutlery and crockery. The living area opens to the balcony which overlooks the courtyard and has views of the mountain.


The Waves

Small families will enjoy this north-facing, spacious 2 bedroom apartment, situated on the 1st floor and featuring a mountain view balcony, fully equipped kitchen and open plan living area. Guests are able to walk across the courtyard, directly onto the beach.

Step inside an inviting beach retreat, with fast internet and a Smart Ultra HD tv, that’s just a few steps away from the soft beach sand of Surfers Corner in Muizenberg. The Cube @ Bella-Ev

A free-standing exquisite architecturally designed space, open plan style, comprising a sleeping area with double bed and lounge/bureau with German sleeper couch. The Cube includes a glassed in summer-winter kitchen, bathroom and outside decking area for leisure or dining. Finely decorated in a creative modern style, which incorporates open spaces and a lot of natural light.
