Perfect for families or guests who desire extra space, the Casita is the newest accommodation which features two bedrooms and an en-suite bathroom. One bedroom has a queen bed and the other bedroom has two twin beds. Nestled into the back of the property surrounded by lush gardens, the Casita has breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and Inca terraces. Equipped with a private kitchen and dining area, guests are welcome to prepare their own meals with fresh produce right from the El Albergue Farm, upon request. There are no TVs in this room. This room is on the ground floor.
The Superior Balcony rooms are located in two buildings concealed in the El Albergue Gardens, furthest from the train platform. Walk out onto the balcony for breathtaking views of the mountains and glaciers of the Sacred Valley. The Superior Balcony rooms have one queen bed and one twin bed and a private bathroom. There are no TVs in these rooms. These rooms are on the second floor.
The Superior Garden rooms are located in two buildings concealed in the El Albergue Gardens, furthest from the train platform. Relax in the hammocks under fragrant jasmine and watch the hummingbirds. The Superior Garden rooms have one queen bed and one twin bed and a private bathroom. An extra twin bed can be added to accommodate up to four guests. There are no TVs in these rooms. These rooms are located on the ground floor.
The Double Plus room occupies the whole second story of a small house set in the middle of the hotel grounds, further from the train platform than the Standard rooms but not quite as tucked back as the Superior rooms or the Casita. This room has its own staircase with a private balcony atop where you can sit, relax, and enjoy views of the surrounding gardens. The Double Plus has one double bed and one twin bed and a private bathroom. There are no TVs in this room. This room is on the second floor.
The Standard King room is located in El Albergue's main building, a beautiful and historic edifice overlooking near the train platform with a balcony entrance boasting excellent views of the gardens and surrounding mountains. Standard Double Twin
The Standard Double Twin rooms are located in El Albergue's main building, a beautiful and historic edifice overlooking the train platform as well as the gardens and surrounding mountains. Enjoy the sights and sounds of this magical place as excited passengers are whisked off for their Machu Picchu adventure. The Standard Triple rooms have three twin beds and a private bathroom. There are no TVs in these rooms. These rooms are located on the second floor.
El Albergue Restaurant & Cafe Mayu
The restaurant and café are open to hotel guests and travellers alike. Café Mayu on the train station platform offers espresso coffee, tea, cookies, brownies, sandwiches and salads. Come by the restaurant where you will find a full menu for breakfast lunch and dinner.
They have created our menu using fresh organic ingredients from the garden and Sacred Valley offering a selection of Peruvian and European flavours. Alpaca steak, fresh salads, homemade fettuccine and fresh trout are a few items available on the menu.
Connected to El Albergue Restaurant, Cafe Mayu serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner as well as lite fare all-day long, offering the freshest ingredients directly from El Albergue's organic farm. Open early til late, come by and to enjoy the best local beverages while watching trains and people come and go to and from Machu Picchu.
Cafe Mayu is proud to feature our own coffee and cañazo spirits both produced on-site at El Albergue Finka. Enjoy these unique artisanal products in Cafe Mayu or schedule a visit to the farm for a tour of the coffee roasting facility and cañazo distillery.
El Albergue is pleased to offer private transportation services to their guests. A great way to see sites in the Sacred Valley is en route between Cusco and El Albergue. In addition to direct transportation between Cusco and Ollantaytambo, they offer full day and half day tours with private drivers. Pachamanca Farm Lunch
The Pachamanca, which translates to "earth oven" in the Quechua language, is a traditional Incan meal cooked upon hot rocks. The Pachamanca Farm Lunch includes a tour of our hotel and farm as well as a visit to our Cañazo (sugar cane liquor) distillery and coffee roasting facility with tastings of these artisanal products. You're welcome to participate in the preparation of the Pachamanca, and while the food cooks, you can visit the farm and learn about traditional and contemporary organic farming practices.
