Welcome To Caye Casa

Caye Casa is an exclusive boutique hotel on the beach in Belize.

It is the perfect barefoot base for the adventure of exploring San Pedro and Ambergris Caye. Caye Casa is a sanctuary for the discriminating tourist yet all of San Pedro is still at your fingertips. There’s nothing else like it in Belize.

Our Accommodations

There are three types of accommodation at Caye Casa: classic rooms, casitas and villas.

  • All are on the ocean.
  • All are on a private sandy beach.
  • All are a leisurely stroll along the beach to dozens of restaurants, bars and shops in San Pedro Town.
  • All have wireless internet, cable television and air conditioning.
  • All have easy access to the relaxing fresh water plunge pool.
  • All have daily housekeeping, concierge services, and night time security.

Watch the sunrise from your porch, snorkel Hol Chan Marine Reserve and Shark Ray Alley, enjoy a Belikin beer, sunbathe on our beach, relax with a massage, hire a local chef to cook a Belizean dinner in your villa or dine out in one of San Pedro’s famous restaurants. So many choices.

Casitas

The casitas are exactly the same except for the color of the couches. Both casitas have beach front living rooms with kitchenettes, a separate bedroom with one queen sized bed and a private tiled bathroom. Each casita is also equipped with a small refrigerator, a microwave, blender, toaster, a coffee maker, appropriate dishes and silverware, distilled drinking water, and small safes. The thatch covered porches provide shade and an incredible view of the beach and the Caribbean Sea.

Classic Rooms

The classic rooms are just that classic hotel rooms with one four poster king sized bed, a private bath and shared porches. There is one classic room on each floor. All face the ocean. Rum Caye Classic, our typical room, is on the first floor near the pool. Turtle Caye Classic is on the second floor with a balcony over looking the pool and ocean. Sun Caye Classic is on the third floor with a view of palm trees and the ocean. Each room is also equipped with a small refrigerator, a coffee maker, distilled drinking water, and small safes.

Villas

There are three villas available – one on the first floor and two on the second level. Each is available to rent either as a one bedroom or a two bedroom villa. As a one bedroom villa, guests enjoy the entire suite for themselves as well as the bedroom with the queen sized four poster bed and adjoining bath. Parrot Caye Villa is a relaxing three steps from the beach. It has a spacious living room and dining area – including a kitchen designed for the gourmet. One bedroom has a king sized four poster bed; the other has one queen sized four poster bed. Both have private tiled bathrooms. Watch the Caribbean Sea and the swaying palms from your private thatch covered porch.

Water Caye Villa, on the second floor, is a stunning ocean front suite. It has a cathedral ceiling in the living room and dining area with an adjoining open kitchen designed for the gourmet. The bedrooms have either one king or queen sized four poster bed. Both have private tiled bathrooms.. Thatch covers the private porch which overlooks the Caribbean Sea. Pirates Caye Villa is a fantastic ocean front suite also on the second floor. It has a cathedral ceiling in the living room and dining area with an adjoining open kitchen designed for the gourmet. The main bedroom has one queen sized four poster bed with an adjoining tile bathroom. The second bedroom has two twin beds and a half bath. Enjoy the Caribbean Sea breeze from its private thatch covered porch. This works very well for a family.

Location

Ambergris Caye (pronounced as “key”, meaning an island) was named after large lumps of ambergris, a solid, waxy and flammable substance from the digestive system of sperm whales. Actually, Ambergris Caye is not really an island but rather the end of the Yucatan Peninsula. A channel, which the Maya dug, separates Ambergris Caye from Mexico. Today the channel is part of Bacalar Chico and is a marine reserve.
