Accommodations:

Kukulkán

Located in the main house and built in the early 20th century, the Kukulkán Room is named for the ancient feather-serpent deity of wind and rivers. Kukulkán features a high ceiling, queen size bed, locally-crafted armoire, desk, and 2 chairs. Rich Mexican color and the original pasta tile floor lead from the bedroom to the spacious bath with Talavera tile accents. The sink is under-mounted in hand-hewn native Coquina rock. Colorful artwork and accents featuring Mayan themes and textiles infuse the room. Kukulkán is the closest room to the elegant public rooms of the house and only a few steps away from the breezy breakfast terrace, pool, and lounging area.

 

Ixchel

Integrated with the main house, the Ixchel Room is named after the ancient goddess of the moon, women in childbirth, and weavers. Aptly named, Ixchel showcases textiles hand-woven by collectives of Mayan women. The room features a queen size bed, spacious closet, desk, and 2 chairs. Rich Mexican color and the original pasta tile floor lead from the bedroom to the spacious bath featuring colorfully hand-painted Talavera tiles and sink. Colorful artwork and accents featuring Mayan themes infuse the room. Ixchel is close to the elegant public rooms of the house and only a few steps away from the breezy breakfast terrace, pool, and lounging areas.

 

Chaac

The Chaac room takes its name from the ancient deity of rain. It features a covered private terrace with sliding doors overlooking the tropical courtyard, pool and tranquil, cascading fountain. Chaac is housed in a newly constructed casita that blends seamlessly with the historic property. The room features vibrant Mexican color, high ceiling, a queen size bed, spacious closet, desk, and 2 chairs. Colorful artwork and accents featuring Mayan themes and textiles infuse the room. The polished concrete and historic pasta tile floor leads from the bedroom to the spacious bath featuring colorfully hand-painted Talavera tiles and sink.

 

Balam

Named for the jaguar spirit of night protection, Balam is reached via the grand spiral staircase to the magical floating bridge. Nestled among the treetops, the light-filled room spills onto a pergola-covered terrace overlooking the courtyard, pool and tranquil cascading fountain. Step onto the private terrace for a dramatic view of Casa Del Maya. Balam is housed in a newly constructed casita that blends seamlessly with the historic property. The room features vibrant Mexican color, high ceiling, a queen size bed, spacious closet, desk, and 2 chairs. The polished concrete and historic pasta tile floor leads from the bedroom to the spacious bath featuring colorfully hand-painted Talavera tiles and sink. Itzamná

Tucked just off the tropical garden courtyard and spectacular spiral staircase is the captivating Itzamna Room, named after the supreme ancient Mayan deity. The floor-to-ceiling window infuses this room with light. Look outside as sun and shadows dance along the streaked and timeworn original garden walls. Itzamna is housed in a newly constructed casita that blends seamlessly with the historic property. The exterior facade of this casita is covered with hand-chinked stones gathered from the property, an architectural tradition in the Yucatan. Painted in vibrant Mexican colors, the large room features high ceiling, 2 queen size beds, spacious closet, desk, 2 chairs, and a rocking chair. The unique floor has a pasta tile "carpet”, which is a work of art in itself.

Yaxche

Ascend the grand spiral staircase onto the dramatic floating bridge that leads you to the Yaxche Room. Yaxche is the ancient tree of heaven under which good souls rejoice. Here you are truly in a tree-house where you can open the floor-to-ceiling window and immerse yourself in light and breeze. Watch tropical birds and butterflies skip among the flowered treetops. Yaxche is housed in a newly constructed casita that blends seamlessly with the historic property. The exterior facade of this casita is covered with hand-chinked stones gathered from the property, an architectural tradition in the Yucatan. The unique floor has a pasta tile "carpet”, which is a work of art in itself.
