Together with my wife Elizabeth Martínez, from Mexico, we explored the world in 4x4 vehicles and motorcycles for many years. We decided to live and operate Bike-Mexico in the Puerto Vallarta area because of the uniquely beautiful mix of Mexican culture, jungle, beaches and mountains. On our exclusive guided motorcycle tours you will experience amazing places you won’t see with any other organized tour in Mexico. Our tours offer you a ride you will never forget!
Ride through scenic curvy mountain roads to old Mexican villages nestled in lush green tropical settings with an exotic ambiance or explore hidden beaches to swim in crystal clear waters enjoying the beautiful ocean view. All our Motorcycles have a limited Full Cover Insurance. That is unique in all of Mexico! We will provide you with DOT approved Helmets and Body Armor Jackets (protection for your back, shoulders and elbows) for your safety.
We offer tours for all kinds of riding - On Road and Off Road. Our Honda's are adjustable in seat height. Riders from 160 cm / 5’-4“ can comfortably ride the bikes. Many of our clients ride Harley Davidson’s and they were more than happy on our tours. Our tour groups are small which allows for a very personalized tour. Groups usually range from 2 to 5 persons. It is possible to arrange for a private tour as well upon request. We have no minimum number of participants! We can stop whenever you like to for a photo shot or even change the route when possible.
If you want explore the Puerto Vallarta area by yourself, no problem. We offer Motorcycle Rentals as well. If requested, we can help you with choosing places to explore.
I am (Jürgen), originally from Germany, traveled several years together with my wife Elizabeth Martínez, from Mexico, in 4x4 vehicles or motorcycles through Latin America, Africa and Asia. After our adventure trip we ran a Motorcycle Tour and Rental Company combined with a Spanish Language School in Nicaragua. We decided to move our business to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. We invite you to join us exploring the beautiful countryside in a different way - by motorcycle.
If you prefer a comfortable private living place rather than the usual hotel atmosphere we do have Rooms for rent with accommodation in a nice, quiet and safe area in Puerto Vallarta. Feel free to contact us for more information. Overland-Travellers and ADVriders on their trip through Mexico are very welcome to stay in our house. Starting and Return Point is always our house in Fluvial/Puerto Vallarta. Please be there at least 1/2 hour before the tour starts. We need time for registration, payment arrangements and providing the riding gear.

For the Adventure Rider we offer a new - more off road orientated - tour with Honda Dirt bikes through the mountain forests and to remote villages. This tour includes roads/tracks that are 90% on gravel and dirt. You must know how to ride the bike under these conditions.
Please note: We want to ride in a relaxed environment and not race. Our mission at Bike-Mexico is for everyone to enjoy the ride at a comfortable pace and insure a stress-free experience. This allows everyone to enjoy and truly take in this beautiful country. We focus and always insure there is enough time to stop, enjoy the scenery and take some memorable pictures or videos.

Leaving the city of Puerto Vallarta we ride along the River Cuale to the east, directly into the mountain area. After passing the last houses we climb up on winding dirt roads through the jungle. After about 1 hour we are already on 1000 m / 3300 ft altitude where we have incredible views over the beautiful mountain range. We ride further south and come to Los Lobos, a small farming village. Here we get some cold drinks. We ride up and down through landscapes similar to the south American Andes to our destination, Cuale, a village named like the River Cuale which flows into the ocean in Puerto Vallarta. The village is situated at about 1500 m / 4900 ft. altitude.
Here we are definitely "off the beaten track”. No fancy restaurants, one church and the local bus comes 3 times a week. We will have our lunch break before we ride back to Puerto Vallarta.
The bike should be well controlled on winding mountain roads.Dirt roads or gravel roads must not be a problem for you.

Starting in Puerto Vallarta we ride directly into the mountain area passing different vegetation zones (see lush green jungle, the coffee growing area and pinewood forests). We visit the old colonial village San Sebastian del Oeste (Altitude 1400 m / 4600 feet). Here we take a riding break and walk trough the cobblestone streets, visit a museum or just enjoy the special atmosphere of the old mountain village. We visit an organic coffee farm, where the owners introduce you to the secrets of how to produce and process high quality coffee.
Leaving the village behind we ride on spectacular curvy mountain roads up to more than 1800 m / 5900 feet towards the small old colonial town Mascota (1240 m / 4000 feet).
Now it’s time for lunch. There is also time to stroll through the town with its many old colonial buildings or just relax and watch the colorful street life reflecting real Mexico and Mexican life away from tourist areas. We ride back to Puerto Vallarta experiencing the beautiful afternoon mountain scenes into the sunset.
This trip is only on paved and cobblestone roads.

Leaving the city of Puerto Vallarta we ride along the coast with spectacular views over the scenic bays, long sandy beaches and ocean waves vigorously splashing the coastal rocks in the south of the city. We visit the famous botanical garden with gigantic tropical trees covered with epiphytes and orchids so unlike our botanical gardens at home, located about 25 km / 16 miles away from Puerto Vallarta.
After the visit we ride through the beautiful mountain area (800 m / 2600 ft.) with its pine forests to the village El Tuito (600 m / 2000 ft.).
From there we take small roads, some of them gravel, through the lush jungle down to the ocean. We visit lonely beaches where you have time to relax and swim in the crystal blue sea.
We take lunch in one of the local restaurants offering seafood - “Mariscos” typical of the area. A special treat is the visit to the small picturesque fishing village Tehuamixtle looking like an ancient Italian fishing village where you meet the locals busily working their small boats or hanging out for a chat in the streets. In the beautiful afternoon lighting we take our time riding back to Puerto Vallarta, enjoying the beautiful landscapes.

When it comes to Riding a Motorcycle in Mexico, we have to speak about the roads. In Mexico you will always find "Speed Bumbs" - called "Topes" and potholes are as well very common. This is the reason why we use HONDA and BMW Dual Sport Bikes with a better suspension than a normal street bike or a Harley Davidson. Suspension is an important part of riding safe and comfortable on the different kind of streets in Mexico.
Honda XR 250 Tornado
Built specifically for the Latin American market. The air-cooled engine, provided with an additional oil cooler, has 25 hp. On the first sight, that does not sound like a lot of power. But the four-valve engine usually brings, thanks to only 134 kg/295 pounds dry weight of the bike, enough power to really have fun, even in the mountains. It does not require a huge and heavy 1200cc motorcycle to enjoy Mexico. The opposite is the case. Especially on small outlying gravel roads you will see the advantage of a lightweight dirt bike.
The motorcycles have a ground clearance of 281 mm and a spring travel of 245 mm front and 242 mm rear. The seat height can be varied by changing the suspension strut and fork.
